About David Skilling
David is the Founding Director of Landfall Strategy Group, and advises governments, firms, and financial institutions across Asia and Europe on global economics and politics.
Previously, David was Chief Executive of the New Zealand Institute, and has been a Principal Advisor at the New Zealand Treasury as well as a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade. David has also worked with McKinsey & Co in Singapore.
He is a contributor to The Wall Street Journal, The Times, Singapore’s Straits Times, The Nikkei Asian Review, as well as New Zealand publications, on global economic and political issues.
David has a Ph.D. in Public Policy, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University, as well as a Master of Commerce (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Auckland.
